Procembalo aims to promote the contemporary harpsichord repertoire in every possible field by making it free and accessible for the public worldwide.
Procembalo publishes on the net the Contemporary Harpsichord Music Catalogue. This catalogue aims to collect all compositions from 1900 on, in which the harpsichord is originally mentioned and that are meant to be performed on any kind of stage.
The staff of the Contemporary Harpsichord Music Catalogue is composed of harpsichordists and musicians from all over the world (you can find them by taking a look at the list), so of you too!
Diadorim Saviola and Annelie de Man are the initiators of Procembalo and Diadorim Saviola is the responsible for Procembalo.
Diadorim Saviola is known as performer of more than 100 compositions written for his Duo Novecembalo and author of the catalogue-research Il Clavicembalo Nella Musica Contemporanea Italiana (The Harpsichord in Contemporary Italian Music) (March 2005), published by the Associazione Clavicembalistica Bolognese. This is a complete catalogue, result of intensive research, containing 700 works for harpsichord by more than 300 Italian composers.
Annelie de Man has been professor of contemporary harpsichord music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in The Netherlands and is known as performer of numerous new works dedicated to her by composers from all over the world. She left her stamp in the history and showed us the great way to follow. Annelie, your adventurous soul, your art, your generosity and your warm smile... they are all living inside us. In memory of her the Annelie de Man foundation has been created.
