Diploma in composition under F. Fanticini and electronic music under F. Giomi at the A. Boito Conservatoire in Parma, and graduated in musicology from the University of Pavia  under G. Borio, with a dissertation on live electronics in L. Nono and L. Berio. Has attended masterclasses and seminars under H. Lachenmann, G. Grisey, F. Paris, S. Sciarrino, G. Kurtág, A. Vidolin, E. Porta, A. Morini, R. Fabbriciani, M. Formenti, E. Furrer, A. Nyqvist and D. Polisoidis. Composer for small live electronic groups as well as interactive pieces. His essays are published by Ashgate, LIM, MIT Press and Zanichelli. Collaborates with the Centro Tempo Reale in Florence and the L. Nono Archives in  Venice.
