Biography
is an American harpsichordist, pianist and composer. He studied harpsichord with Igor Kipnis.He is the author of six published collections of baroque and renaissance harpsichord music as well as music for recorder/flute with continuo and unaccompanied cello or viola da gamba, of which there are recordings by Fernando de Luca, Ernst Stolz, Daniel Shoskes, Simone Stella and Michele Barchi. Colburn was the author of a feature article on period composition in the summer 2007 issue of Early Music America Magazine. More recently he authored an article on early music and its growing presence on Youtube in Early Music America Magazine for its winter 2008 issue
