Biography
He begun his musical studied at the age of seven . He graduated in Organ and Organ composition, Choir conducting and in Harpsichord at “Antonio Vivaldi” Conservatoire of Alessandria and at “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatoire in Turin. His teachers were Massimo Nosetti, Sergio Pasteris, Paolo Tonini Bossi, Andrea Coen and Francesca Lanfranco. He perfectioned himself with Enzo Corti , Letizia Romiti , Reihnard Jaud , Rénè Saorgin , Christopher Kent , Jean-Claude Zehnder. He has also studied choir conducting with Sebastian Korn and composition with Riccardo Piacentini at “Antonio Vivaldi” academy of music in Alessandria. He graduated at the VI International Organ Contest in Varenna, Italy and he won special harpsichord interpretation prize “Paola Bernardi” at the IV Harpsicord Contest “Gianni Gambi” in Pesaro, Italy. Since 1988 he has played regularly as a soloist (organ) and as chamber musician as harpsichordist in choral and instrumental ensembles. He has played over 250 concerts in Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and , of course in Italy at important venues like : Vienna-Luterische Stadtkirche, Praha - St.Jacob Church, Ciudad Rodrigo - Chatedral, El Barco de Ávila – Parish Church, Alpe d’Huez - Notre-Dame des Neiges , Belfort - Basilique de St . Christophe , Strasbourg -Saint-Thomas, Chatedral of Montecarlo, Chatedral of Auxerre, Rouen - Church of St.Maclou, St.Raphael - Cathedral, Strasbourg - Cathedral, Moutier - St.Germain , Festival suisse de l’orgue 1992, Porrentruy- Aula des Jesuites, Walldorf- Links with Italy 1994, Bamberg -Audimax of the University, Ringenthaler Orgelsommer, Scherzheim , Bad Peterstal, Bamberg - Matthaeus Church , Bamberg -Chathedral, Weimar- Stadtkirche, Łódź-International organ festival 1996 and 1998 , Sandomierz- Wieczory organowe 1996, The French Mozart Festival “Saou chante Mozart”. Lecco-October festival 1993, International Festival of Alessandria 1995 , Trieste St.Silvester Church Organ Season 1995 and 2001, Turin- Music and Worship 1997,1998,1999,2001, Varese, Organ’s Vespers 2001, “Organalia 2004” In 1995 he was appointed titular organist of the St. Leonard Church in Reconvilier -Chaindon near Bern in Switzerland. Since 1988 he is titular organist of the Protestant Church in Luserna S.Giovanni . Since 2002 he is also organist at the Waldensian Church in Torre Pellice. He is the founder and conductor of “Gruppo Musica ” now “Ensemble Ars Abstracta -MusicAstratta” since 1991. This is a vocal and instrumental ensemble wich has performed in France , Switzerland and Northern Italy and made a television broadcasting for RAI (Protestantesimo ) and a CD recording in Marseille with his “The 150thPsalm” during the 2ndFestival de La Sainte Baume. He has composed for organ, choir ,harpsichord, piano, brass ensemble , orchestral ensemble and for synthesizers and several of his composition have been edited in Italy (by Musica Practica, Turin), inGermany (by Andreas Goldbach, St.Ingbert)and in Switzerland (by Editions Schola Cantorum, Fléurier). He plays regularly with the Chamber orchestra and choir of the University of Bamberg in Germany and with the choir “Roberto Goitre”of Turin, Italy. He teaches Organ and Musical Theory at the Civic School of Luserna San Giovanni and organ and harpsichord at the Civic School of Music of Pinerolo. He wasthe artistic director of the International Organ Seasons “Jeux d’Orgues” in the Pellice Valley and now he's artistic director of “Stylus Phantasticus” in the Susa Valley of Piemont in Italy.
